Day 2: 8.7.2026: eYAA Cohort 6, Group 4: Welcome by District Governor, Meeting Government Project Committee, Staff & Youth: to Empower Youth, Bridge History & Community BASED Tourism!

Day 2: The eYAA Cohort 6, Group 4 team was deeply honored to receive a warm welcome from the District Party Secretary and Chairman of the District Administration Committee, along with the project steering committee and staff. Following the official welcome, we dove into studying the rich history and architectural layouts of the Vat Phou Champasak World Heritage Site at the Vat Phou Museum. We discovered a beautiful connection: the GLC Center and BMG Guesthouse are proudly located right within the UNESCO World Heritage buffer zone, sitting directly across the river from Khan Mak Houk and Vat Tomo!

✨

To wrap up an incredible day, our youth volunteers researched local souvenir products and began brainstorming a unique Tour Brochure. This initiative aims to draw travelers to experience this one-of-a-kind community firsthand while driving sustainable Community-Based Tourism (CBT) for our village!
