Empowering Business Skills for Women and the Community of Huay Hae – Tha Taeng

On February 10-11, 2026, the Green Learning Center (GLC) organized the 2nd training session on “Business Planning and Basic Financial Literacy” for the food processing group and community market traders in Huay Hae – Tha Taeng.

🎯 What we learned together: This training focused on shifting mindsets from basic income-generating activities to professional business planning:

✅ Calculating costs, income, expenses, and cash flow.

✅ Developing business plans tailored to specific business needs.

We successfully developed 11 individual business plans and 1 group plan for food processing. Women, who made up 90% of the participants, are now able to confidently design their own businesses, whether in sewing, tourist boat management, or agricultural processing.

🌱 What’s Next?

We are now focusing on enhancing the quality of community products like dried bananas and local chili pastes to meet ODOP standards. By involving more youth and strengthening our local market, we are ensuring that our community’s economy remains resilient and sustainable.

Special thanks to the New Zealand Embassy for their continued support in building community capacity and empowering women-led businesses.
